SOLUTION OF FORUM PROBLEM

Tonight Mr._Jack , HED TILL I DIE and myself have discussed the forum issue between the old forum at www.hedpefans.com and this one. As you all know there are certain things wrong with that forum and that is why we decided to create this place FOR YOU.
(read here for problems)

Basically HED TILL I DIE is not willing to accept this forum or switch to this one. He thinks its better to "revamp" the old one, putting in unnecessary amounts of work and time from our point of view, as this forum is already in good shape.

His main reason to stick with the old forum is the number of already registered users and the old topics. But hey, lets be honest how many of those 400 users did post a single word over the last few weeks or days?

Also we tried to show him our will to work together with him because our overall goal was always to UNITE everyone on a new, informative and pretty forum. We offered him to copy every tiny bit of information from the old forum into this one but he still wouldn't accept it.

In the end we even suggested a straight and fair democratic vote in which you, the community could vote at both sides for your personal favourite, however he didn't like that idea either.

Well what was the more to say? He offered us once again to become Mods at the old forum and work on the errors there but we just didn't see the point when this option is so much easier and way more logical.

I hope you see our dedication to the forum and our good will to make this a better place for everyone.

- finish design completely (minor changes)
- promote forum, for example on myspace + etc. (hopefully with your help!)
- post news for you soon
- expand gallery
- gimmehed has mentioned the possiblity that we might be able to be linked to this place from www.hedrocks.com
- OFFER OFFICIAL HEDPEFANS TSHIRTS

The reason this forum is in better shape is because it's only a few days old, while the other one has been around for over a year now. There will be problems. Just you wait.

I, for one, am willing to help him clean up the site. It will definately take some work. But so what? He undoubtedly worked hard on it. Yeah, it fell to shit, but that's because he didn't have any help around to keep an eye on things while he wasn't there. It's not hard to understand. It seems your "dedication" to this forum is just to spite HTID for not combing his site with this one and also to get out of doing a little extra work on a computer. Sorry if I'm wrong, but that's really how it looks to me.

You've always been to cool WTD, and so have the rest of you guys. I don't want you to leave the other site. You don't HAVE to become mods and help out, although it'd be nice if you did, but that doesn't mean you have to leave completely. I don't like the idea, nor do I see the point of having what will obviously become two warring forums.

since some feel there was no censorship ill explain although i owe noone anything...............on many separate occasions posts of mine were removed for stupid reasons - stupid shit like that

i for one am staying at this board - im very impressed with it so far - and for a band member to post here already speaks volumes

i talked to kim g already about this board - she said she quickly looked at it and was impressed with the vibe and layout - but she does not want to link it to hedrocks yet until she sees how it develops - which is totally understandable

she also said something about posting on here eventually - shes just been busy i guess - i mean she hasnt answered the last three emails i sent her until this one earlier today about this board

Yeah, WE'RE the ones being immature. The creation of this board may have had good initial intentions, but it didnt't turn out quite how they had planned. The last thing anyone wants is a forum war, but that's what it's quickly turning into. Especially with posts like yours. You still don't seem to get what I'm saying...arguing with you is absolutely hopeless. I'm not even being hostile and you're the one claming I'm immature, when youre the one calling me names for no reason. Doesn't really make sense, does it? I don't recall ever being anything but cool to you. Kindly explain why you're acting like such a dick to me? If you really understand the good intentions behind the creation of this board, then why can't you understand my good intentions? ALL I'M TRYING TO DO IS FIX THE PROBLEM AT HAND. I'm not trying to get people to come back over to the other board because I hate this one...that's not the case at all. I'm just trying to prevent what is inevitably going to turn into a big fight. I'd like to keep the (hed) fans community tight like it used to be. If you think I'm trying to break it up further, you've got me all wrong. You don't have to reply. Just think about it.

the fact is that we have two boards now and the time will show which one will be better...right now i feel enthusiasm and devoting here (great design also,for sure)
i am sure that pat is going to lead this board perfectly and he has all my support,and HTID is promising to improve the other board,but what the fuck he was waiting for til now?
now when we have another board he woke up,but i think it is the matter of time when he's going to give up again.

in the meantime,you will see me on both boards.

Yes people, please cool down. No need to argue. Even the three of us yesterday managed to stay calm and dont offend anyone for no reason. I can only say I will stay active on both forums, but setting this site up cost me about 3 to 4 weeks and I just don't have the time and will to go through all that again on the old forum. The forum software on hedpefans.com is outdated (invisionfree boards last official update is from September 2005) and would be hard for myself to get used to all the configuration settings to redesign it.

I think we can live in co-existence for a while, see how it goes... and noone said there is no option for a second discussion in a few days time.

ahh yeah but man, its a whole posting issue too, i havent posed in that one for....ohhhh ages now, and this one, well lets put it like this, whats the point in joining if your not going too post ehh??? i mean seriously, i prefere this idea, but thats my opinion

I understand HTID had some serious personal problems and I have much respect to him for all what he done!
But all that matters is how it affects the board, and it was really bad...
And when he needed help he should have get it...Patric and Onan tried to contact him many times...
We felt like it was time for change, and I still think that....

HTID wanted us to make a great place of the old forum...but that's non-sense for us when we think this already is the place! And not even all of the features of this board would be possible to do at the old one host....

So I wish you good luck making the old forum a better place, the more good hed forums the better!

I'd like it if we could come uo with some sort of compromise in the near future. If HTID is reeally serious about redoing the site, then I will definately help him turn it uspide down and fix it. There's no reason we can't clean it up, get forum upgrades, and whatever. I don't know about you guys, but I have several other forums that I'm a regular on, and adding another one, especially one that already has another existsing forum, is too much. It's kinda hard to keep up. I like that this site is nice and clean and has a constant upkeep, but it's definately possible to make the other site like that too.

i didn't know that HTID had some personal problems and i hope he'd doing fine now!

i dont really give a shit which one there is as long as their is one. this forum has info that one does and that forum has info this one doesn't. either way i just want to get my information and not be stuck in shadows and have everyone know something i dont and feel stupid. keep doing what your doing, it shouldn't matter to anyone except for the people that actively use it.
