At the moment the guys from Long Beach are touring, doing as many shows as possible in order to get signed. - Halfton's myspace- Halfton's websiteMembers:Eddie Booze - vocals/guitar Dan Grammer - bass Mike Mower - drums Kenny "the finger" Sachs - keys Their official myspace biography:Sometimes when youre looking for something, its right there in front of you. On a warm, sunny Southern California day, Dan Grammer was out in front of his Long Beach home when he heard the voice he and his bandmates had been seeking for the longest time. Dan, Mike Mower, and Kenny the finger Sachs had been searching for months for the voice that would complete their new project. The band had auditioned numerous vocalists but couldnt seem to find the right one who had both an amazing voice and stage presence. The band already had a large catalogue of material. All that was missing was the most integral part of the project. Eddie Booze was performing his own solo acoustic shows around the Long Beach area. Dan just happened to catch Eddie practicing his acoustic set at home on this summer day. Liking what he heard, Dan went across the street to Eddies house. And so Halfton was born. The Halfton sound can be described as both heavy and melodic. The band combines elements of metal, punk, reggae, rap, and classic rock. Eddies experience as an acoustic artist adds an interesting twist. The end result is a band that is receiving rave reviews from their fans, peers, and fellow musicians alike. Halfton released a five song cd in September 2004. Four of the tracks were recorded with Producer/Engineer Cameron Webb (Lit, Zebrahead, Social Distortion). The additional track was recorded at their rehearsal studio. The cd has brought worldwide exposure to the band. Halftonmusic.com received over 65,000 hits in one month and the band has received email from around the world from new fans. One of the tracks recorded was a cover of Warren Gs classic hip hop song, Regulate. So well received was this track that even Warren G himself got in contact with the band and praised the band for their take on his song. Although Halftons cover has turned heads, original music is what the band is about. As each day goes by, their song writing process keeps stepping up a notch. Quotes singer Eddie Booze, Weve really found our groove where we just click our song writing just keeps on getting better. Adds bassist Dan Grammer, We've become such a tight unit in our writing and our performances. Halfton continue to play throughout Orange, LA, and San Diego counties at such venues as The House of Blues, The Vault 350, The Hard Rock Cafe, The Whisky, and Canes. | |
