dude you guys need to grow some fucking balls, and stop kissing jahreds ass. thats right i said jahred!!!! because this band isn't (hed)pe, its jared's band. why do you think b2bx, oia, and insomnia sound like shit, because he writes the lyrics, songs, produces, and mixes everything. he's too close to it all. they need to hire a professional producer; to get a prespective that he might not see. or a professional mixer, who has experience. all jared knows how to do is manipulate sound files or whatever in pro tools or whatever program he is using. And let me remind everyone that the cd's released on subnoize would have been better if they signed with a label that had money for those professionals. Instead jared has decided to do it himself. not only that, what makes me mad is that everyone likes the new members in the band, yeah they're great, but remember all those great songs hed pe hammered out before all these line-up changes, well they were written by ex-members such as: wes, chad and mawk. i know mawk is still in the band, but he aint writting shit and hasnt for awhile or at least been a big part of it. its jared with the help of product to throw in lame ass gunshots and voiceovers. if jared were to record himself taking a shit and have product throw in some lame ass dj skills, mostly everyone on this board (90%, little teenie boppers) would say something closely to:
"oh my god, this is so awesome, (hed)pe are so versatile and grounbreaking. they're always coming up with a new sound".

FUCK YOU, and FUCK (HED)PE!!!!!, because hed pe the band before 2002 would have said that and agreed with me. Instead they are now just hitting up the myspace bulletin on how we need to buy their albums, or help them request their songs or videos. fuck that, make good music and that happen on its own.

dont be so blind, hed pe is selling out with their sound as well as their credibility (just listen to their songs). YOU'RE NOT PUNK ROCK!!!!!! STOP SAYING IT!!!!! just because you give yourself a mohawk doesnt mean you're punk, i see girls with mohawks and pop punk bitches with that haircut.

just look at it this way, jared's in his mid fourties, hes just trying to make as much money as possible before he gets to old. What fourty something year old fucks underage girls and brags about it (even if he doesnt and claims he does), and thinks thats cool. Oh yeah, a fourty something year old who wants to make money off consumers 25 years old and younger (or on this board that would be equivalent to about 90% of the members).

so whatever happened to this slogan:
"Don't give a fuck,
Never did,
Never will."
i know what happened to it, some fucking poser named jared, or jah-red, or paulo gomes, or mcud, or paulo sergio, or whatever persona he wants to create next, forgot about it.

you're not a big fan of change, are you, sir?
i think jah's DIY approach to producing is awesome. that's actually more "punk rock" than getting a producer. it leaves the band in full control of their music and how it sounds as opposed to some fag trying to make them a commercial band. which, come to think of it, that's the direction they were heading when they still had all the original members... so you want them to build on the blackout sound? as if that's the real (hed) p.e. HAHAHAHAHA

to the last two posts, you guys are right!

you both made excellent points, you're entitled to your own opinions.

However, i dont where i ever gave off the impression that i listen to bands/music like simple plan. but if that's your educated guess, then im sure you're 100% correct (seeing that you know me so well).

i just wanna say that if you saw hed play 7-8 years ago and play within the last 3 years or so, you would have more of an idea why im upset with the latest release. i agree with a post on here stating that hed shouldnt put out a cd every year, every two to three years spawns a greater experience.

*Why am i considered not to be a big hed fan? is it because i criticize their decision making?
Isn't that what fans do? What about sports, are you telling me that every fan who doesnt agree with what their favorite team (or in this case favorite band) does/decides to do, isnt a real fan. I thought that was a true fan, a fan who just wants to see them do better than what they are doing. or a fan that knows they can do better. if you guys agree with me on this, then i would like to think of myself as a FRUSTRATED FAN.

Also a quick question to everyone, Have you liked every single song/lyric/musical note that (hed)pe has ever created over the years?

I can honestly say up to b2bx i was able to listen to every single song and enjoy it. There is not a minute where i wud get bored or something; thats why HED is my favourite. but yea since broke and blackout it wasnt the same anymore but still good.

I m not a huge fan of insomnia but a couple of tracks are kickass and the rest still better than what most bands release these days.

Honestly, yeah I do. Some of it has had to grow on me more than other stuff, but I truly enjoy all their music. Like Waiting-To-Die said, that's what for me separates (hed) from other music I listen to.

I agree 100% that bands should work on albums for at least a couple of years - just look at all the great examples eg: Tool, RATM etc.

Maybe living in Australia and having had only one opportunity to see them live, and being separated from the music culture over there gives me a different (more naive) perspective - all I know is the music over here sucks balls compared to what's happening overseas, and we wait for releases from bands like (hed) as if it were gold. music

I'm not saying they should make more releases, but perhaps we're so desensitised by the crap we have to listen to from local bands, and that makes decent music albums sound better to us, and we're more willing to accept music that may be of a lesser quality... confused

Australia is notorious for claiming New Zealanders as their own when they are famous eg: Russell Crowe, Crowded House (the list goes on...)

im from aus soi can tell ya a bit abt the music scene round here. 'ezekiel ox' from full scale is now the lead singer of mammal; a fucking mad sydney band. check their shit soon its mad, like the best live shit ive heard in ages. which is cool because their first major release is gona be a live album. if you dont like live albums, dont worry. they have 50 tracks so im sure a studio is in the works.
also check 'dead letter circus' and 'karnivool' 'butterfly effect' all mad if you don't mind heavy/prog rock.
other than that the heavy scene in aus is a phat lump of shit. peace.
