The following are notable heavy metal/hard rock U.S. sales debuts for the week ending July 22, 2007, as reported by Nielsen SoundScan (all CD figures are rounded to the nearest hundred; The Billboard 200 chart position included, where applicable):

(HED)P.E. - "Insomnia": 5,400 (#138)
BEHEMOTH - "The Apostasy": 5,000 (#149)
NILE - "Ithyphallic": 4,600 (#162)
MALEVOLENT CREATION - "Doomsday X": 500
MONDO GENERATOR - "Dead Planet": 300
AKERCOCKE - "Antichrist": 300
SAMAEL - "Solar Soul": 200

- Blabbermouth.net

THEY MADE THE BILLBOARD! woot haha

no it was 30k total to date and nearly 20k the first week and a half - remember they did that presell thing so it was over 10k - it was just to fudge numbers - ill ask kim g about it to be sure but i remember that presale thing artificially jacked numbers up

peace

ha 75k in their wildest dreams

i did ask kim g about it and she confirmed it was 30k to date and she further said you were right on the first week album sales being 10k - she also added the numbers were inflated the first week due to that presale thing at the shows - when they were selling the cds at the shows before the actual release date - so i got that right - but it wasnt 20k

peace
