While I was researching infos online about the 2001 live recording from a festival in Germany, I came across an interview with Jahred and a german music magazine about the reasons why Chad left the band. It's only in German on the site but i translated it for you:

Es kommt schon mal vor, dass Jahred wegen seiner Texte kritisiert wird und einer der Gründe für den Weggang von Gitarrist Chad waren die Texte. „Ab und zu haben sich schon Frauen beschwert, die behaupten ich sei gemein zu Frauen. Das ist definitiv nicht wahr“, stellt Jahred klar.

English:
There are certainly moments when Jahred is critized because of the nature of his lyrics; this was also one of the reasons for why guitarist chad left the band.
"sometimes women have complained that my lyrics would be "mean" towards the femalee gender, however I dont think thats true at all!" says jahred.

German:
„Und Chad hat die Band wegen meiner Texte verlassen. Das war ein bisschen verrückt, denn meine Songs waren früher viel obszöner und auf dem neuen Album sind nicht so viele böse Texte. Chad mochte z.B. die Zeile ’Making love to the teenage lady. But don’t hate me. She just looked like M. Brady.’ nicht. Es ist doch nur Spass. Und ich sagte ja nicht elfjährig.”

Zu Kompromissen ist er diesbezüglich nicht bereit: „Nein, ich werde meine Texte nicht für Bandmitglieder ändern. Das ist albern und ich würde es niemals tun. Ich kann mir überhaupt nicht vorstellen zu einem Songwriter zu gehen und zu sagen: Ich mag Deine Texte nicht! Was soll das? Respektiert die Ehrlichkeit der Kunst und das ich ein Künstler

"And that Chad left because of my lyrics is actually a bit crazy. My songs used to be a lot more obscene. among others, chad didnt like the line "makin love to the teenage lady. but dont hate me, she looked just like m. brady". "Its just fun man and i didnt say elevenyear old!" says jahred.

Concerning his lyrics jahred takes no compromises: "no, i ll never change my lyrics for any band members. thats just ridiculous. i cant even imagine going to my songwriter and sayin: "I dont like your lyrics!" What the fuck is up with that? Respect the truth of art and the fact that I'm an artist.

i dont think there is a comparable line like that in the new album, so I dont see a reason against a re-union of good old hed (at least for one gig or tour)

for me there is no need for the re-union but i would love to see chad as a second guitar player...he's an awesome guitarist and i am sure hed will sound great with 2 guitars again.
